Burner ignites and turns off immediately

Cause 1: The control knob is not pressed down long enough

Solution: Press the control knob down for a few seconds longer. The thermocouple needs a few seconds to reach the right temperature, in order to be able to unlock the safety valve.

Cause 2: The control knob has not been set at the correct height

Solution:

Set the control knob at the right height, by adjusting the front set screws.
